☯️ Tai Chi Reflection ☯️

Konichiwa and greetings to you all.
Image result for courageYesterday I have completed a reflection about our Tai Chi lesson with Mr Gordon. Our power word was Courage. Mr Gordon shared a story about how he was the only person that had the courage to knock on the door to ask for the fruit, instead of stealing. I'm looking forward to our next lesson because the Chi Gung helps me to relax.
Here is my reflection that I have finished and click on the link down below to see it more clearly.

Tai Chi Reflection

Kia Orana and greetings to you all.
Image result for tai chiWelcome back to my blog and today I will be blogging about our Tai Chi lesson we had last week.I really enjoyed last weeks lesson because it was our week back from camp. My Positive comment was doing Abseiling for the first time and it was also my brothers birthday. My negative comment was doing orienteering because we had to walk up the same Hill three times and, I kept on slamming my hand in the prickle bushes. My Random act of kindness was cleaning my sisters room. Here is my reflection and to read it more clearly push the link down below.
Question: What Random act of kindness have you done this week?

Tai Chi

Today the girls went down to the Music room for our Tai Chi lesson with Mr Gordon. I was very excited to go to Tai Chi because I find Tai Chi very relaxing. When we down stairs we stood in our lines and then we started doing our Chi Gung which is our breathing exercises. Our breathing exercises are Drawing from the Earth, Monkey washes face, Breath of the Heart, Opening the Channels, Full body breathing and Drawing from the Sky. I really enjoyed these exercises because I felt very relaxed and calm. I didn't really find any of the movements challenging at all because I just went with the flow. Another thing that we did was our Tiger Form and our Crane form. I really enjoyed the Tiger form because it just stays in my head and I find it relaxing as well. One thing that I found quite challenging was doing the Crane form because I sometimes get it mixed up with the Tiger almost always.

Then we all got our chairs and we started our sharing circle. In our sharing circle we share something positive, negative and a random act of kindness that we did in the week. Something positive that happened was I made Pancakes for my Mum, something negative was I keep of fighting with nephews and a random act of kindness was helping my Dad with the washing. I really enjoyed the sharing circle because I find it easy to share my feelings and thoughts. Once the sharing circle was finished we moved on to our Power word. Every week Mr Gordon shares our power word to help us with our work. Our power word is Communication and I think that communication is very important if you have a plan because you need to make sure that people are clear on the plan. I think that my next steps are to start communicate more with my peers so we can be on the same page most of the time.

Today I went down to the hall for our first class for Term 4 with Mr Gordon.I walked down a little bit late and then we started to do our Chi Gung. Then we got into our Sharing circle where we shared our Positive thought, Negative thought and a Random act of kindness if we had one. My positive was I went to the movies 3 times in the holidays and my negative was My sister, Her bestfriend and my cousins went to Hawaii without me.Then we went on to our Power word for the week which was the word Trust. Mr Gordon shared with us a story about how he didn't trust a guy named Jason. Then we played our game which was a few trust exercises. We first had to find a partner and sit down in the sit up position and both feet through your partners feet. Finally we had to hold eachothers hands and try to pull each other up.I found this quite challenging because it was kind of hard to keep my feet on the floor. The second exercise that we did was stand back to back with a different partner and link arms. The challenge was for us to try and sit down and stand up the fastest.I found this really challenging because me arms hurt alot.I think that I had really good time at Tai Chi because the movements we do help me to relax and calm down. I would recommend that all school should try get Mr Gordon into their schools because he could help kids relax and learn a bit of Tai Chi.
