Today I finished My Recount.
Malama Honua Recount
Wednesday 25th of March 2015 Room 8 went down to Room 3 to find our buddies and go to Pt England Beach. My Buddies were Mani and Cordez. We also went on a bus ride to the Pt England Beach and we saw Panmure Bridge walking to the beach. When we were driving past I saw some of my friends like Javelor,Marietta,Jaydon,Joshua and Hosea. As soon as we parked we had to join a very long Queqe full of Two Thousand Children. When the queue was moving I saw my friends again then we had to walk on the concrete and grass to find our place to sit straight next to Tamaki College and we saw some people that were in room 8 last year for this year the room numbers have changed and the years. When we saw the other boat that they were releasing a small mini boat to bring the people to the sand. When the boat came to the shore we started chanting our haka E oho. When everyone was on the sea shore people started saying speches. My favorite Speech was when a man told us that Manaiakalani ment hook from the hevans and that Manaiakalani was a Hawain word. When they were finished their speeches we sang He honore and two girls from Pt England said a speech. After their Speech we sang our waiata Toia Mai Nga Waka Ki to also welcome them. When we finished singing we had another person talk about the voyage they had and he heard some people say that it was impossible to have 2000 children walk on the rail and go in line for some high fives so we can have the oppertunity to meet the Hawain people and to get to know each other. We had to wait for a long time for our turn which ment that we could play. When we were waiting for Pt England to go we saw Tamaki Collage leave back to school and when they were going we saw some of the children that was in Tamaki Primary School last year and we all called out their names and said hi.After we all said Hi we waited and waited for Pamnure Bridge to go because we were the last people to meet them but not the least school. When we finished our time to meet them and were on our way to the busses Mrs Kelly called me out of my line for and Interview with and fijian Radio woman and the most exiting part was that she knew my mum.She also interviewed Willy,Deandra and myself. When we finished getting Interviewed since I was the last one I had to run all the way to the end of the feild because evryone was their. While we were waiting we were playing So maka Lo so we don’t get board and tired. Finally the Busses came and we got to go back to school eat some morning tea and after that we went to class to write this recount about our day. After writing this I had lunch. When we finished lunch we learnt some more things until the bell rung for home time.
