Digital Dig

Today I have finished my Digital Dig presentation that I did with my class mate Akanesi.In this presentation we wrote some of the keyboard shortcuts and Top Tips.One thing I found very challenging was trying to find the shortcuts because I was also able to use other sites which made it a little bit confusing.Here is my work and hope you enjoy.😀😀😀

Weekend Recount

IALT: Write a recount about what I did in the Weekend.

Saturday

Saturday morning I woke up and my cousin Sifa laka was at our house for the weekend.We went to get ready for our Faith in god at 10:00am but luckily we woke up at 8:00am.Once we were ready my sister Tee made us eggs and toast and we also ate with my brother Jiuta. Once we finished break-fast my dad dropped us off to our Faith In God lesson.Our teacher for the day was my Tee's bestfriend and her name was Rose.In Faith in God we were talking about making a game that we were going to give to someone as service.Once we finished Faith in God Rose, Sifa laka and I dropped of the Primary President Sister Schaumkel to her house.When we finished dropping of Sister Schaumkel home Rose dropped us of home.When we got home me and Sifa laka had to fold all the washing inside our wash house because we were going to feed the Sister Missionaries.Before the Sister Missionaries came over we went shopping to make some food for them.Once they came over and finished eating the shared a quick scripture and a prayer before they left.Once they went Me, Rose and Sifa Laka went to pick Rose's dog Melela.Melela is my sister Losa's dog Yoshi's baby.It's so funny why she is called Melela because in Fijian Melela means small but Melela is bigger than Yoshi.Once we got home we went upstairs and watched movies on netflix until we were told to go to sleep.

Sunday

Sunday morning I woke up and waited for my Sister to make break-fast but she wasn't even awake so I went upstairs and got ready for church. I wore a white dress covered in flowers and a little white cardigan.When I went down stairs I did my hair and I had Marmite and Butter on my Toast for breakfast.Once we finished break-fast and we were all ready I went with  my dad and Baiden who is a Teacher in the young men.When we got to church we sat in one of the middle row. The first talk that was said by Brother Pita was about Smiles and how you should treat a daughter of god.His talk was so beautiful and I was feeling happy because I knew that I was a daughter of got as well.When the sacrament meeting finished we went to our classes and our teacher was just going to be Paia because Raymond is going on his mission to Kiribati.Once our class finished we went to our sharing time and we were talking about the the presidents in our church.Once we finished our sharing time we all went home.When we got home I just played with Sifa Laka until we were told that he had to go home.So I said goodbye to Sifa Laka, Rose, Tee and Lossa because they were going to a YSA activity and then I went with my dad to Nana's house and she is a teacher aid in Room 4.When my dad finished watching the rugby game we went home and we went to sleep.

Underwater Volcano near Tonga!!!

IALT: Write reflection about the article that I have just read

Today I was reading through Kiwi Kids News again and I came across a shocking article that states that there is a Underwater Volcano called Submarine Volcano 3 next to Tonga. When I was reading through the article for where the Volcano actually is it said that the Volcano is 46 km northwest from the island's capital Nuku'alofa.According to the article the Underwater Volcano has been erupting for over a week.I think that this article is sad because if the Volcano erupts and it hits the land it might ruin the villages and their houses.Please leave a comment and if you have a opinion you can also write it in the comment as well.

Royal Family gets a pay rise

Today I was reading through Kiwi Kids News and I saw an article about the Royal Family getting a pay rise.When I say Royal family I don't mean the dance crew I mean Queen Elizabeth's family.According to the article the committee is putting the extra money towards a funding for a $583 million dollar Buckingham palace renovation.The increase of the money will mean that the Queen will receive more money from the annual profits.I think that this is a very interesting article because the Buckingham Palace will get a renovation and I think that this article is also a sad article because people are having to pay taxes and they might not have enough money to pay the taxes.

Saturday

This morning I woke up at my mum's house, Had a shower and we went to my mum's Aerobics class. I didn't go inside because I already knew that I would get bored so I just played on my hoverboard until her class finished.Once her class finished we went to Mcdonald's for break-fast and then I went to buy some meat for Spaghetti and Meatballs.When we went home to make the Spaghetti and Meatballs.While my Mum was making the Spaghetti and Meatballs I cleaned up the house and did some Musical.ly's.Once she was almost finished Making the food she told me to go and have a shower and I did so.After I showered we got ready to go to my brothers house.When we reached the house I played with my cousin Sifa and Skylin.Then we stopped playing and went to eat our lunch.Once we finished eating our lunch I went back inside the house and played Naruto.My cousin Sifa and I played against each other but I lost.Once we finished playing 2 games my Brother in law Shay  came and told us we were going to eat Dessert.I had some Pineapple Lump slice and I also played with my Nephew Ariki.Once we finished dessert I played on my Hoverboard.Every one started to go home but Me, My Mum, My Sister Tee and Sifa stayed at the house.I was able to play Scattergories with Shay, Tegan my sister in law, My brother Tamani, Tee and Tegan's Mum.Once we finished our Twelve rounds I went home and went to sleep.

Sunday

On Sunday morning I woke up and got ready for church.For break-fast I had Baked Beans and Bacon.When I went to church I was super early so I talked to some of my friends and I listened to the people's testimony.I thought that church was beautiful especially listening to the testimonies and singing the Hymns.Once our meeting had finished we went to our classes.In my class we were reading about Joseph Smith in the Joseph Smith history.I learnt that Joseph Smith had 11 Siblings and that his brother Alvin had sadly passed away.Once we finished our classes we went into primary.We played scripture fill in the blanks and we did Music time.After church I went home with my Dad and I played with Ariki, Sifa & Aja.Once Ariki left Me, Aja & My dad went to a baptism that we had today.When we got to the Baptism it was almost finished but they didn't leave yet so we were allowed to stay for the refreshments.After the Baptism Aja came over to our house and we watched Youtube until we fell asleep.

Monday

Monday was Teachers only day so Me & Aja were allowed to play.Me & Aja watched Youtube and played on my Hoverboard.We played until it was 6:00 pm and my dad needed to take her home so we took her to get a Wicked lunch from KFC and dropped her home.When I got home I got my things ready for school and I went to sleep.

Man smuggles 600,000 Eels

IALT: write a reflection of what I have read

Today I went on Kiwi kids News and I found and article about a man smuggling 600,000 Eels on his flight from Heathrow.I thought that this article was a little bit funny but sad at the same time because the Eels that he took were endangered species.The species that the man took were European Eels.The reason why he took the Eels was because he was going to sell them and usually they would be up to $2.1m for 200kg. In conclusion I think that this Article is a little bit sad because he is taking endangered species.Here is a photo of some Eels.

Technology - Tinkercad

Today  we went to Technology for our Graphics lesson.So today Miss Ferguson showed us a web site called TinkerCad.This website is a site that lets people make 3D objects.I thought that this lesson was really fun and cool because I was able to use a site that I haven't used before.In addition if you would like to use the website it is called Tinkercad.I was able to make a name tag for myself but instead of using my real name I used my Nickname which is Bubba.I found making a name tag challenging because I haven't used a site like Tinkercad but in the end I learnt that I just needed to try my best.Here is a photo of my name tag

I think that this name tag was very good considering that it was my first time using the site.I was also able to make my own creature using an Egg shape.I found this very challenging because we had to use a lot of Work planes to attach things.I called this my Evil Egg with a cap.Here is my photo of my Creature.

In conclusion I thought that this lesson was very cool because I was able to use Tinkercad for the first time.

Today Room 9 walked down stairs to the Hall and sat in four lines in front of Miss Lily and Mr M. When we got in our lines we did our Kiwi Can topic chant.Our energiser for today was called 15 Seconds. The way you play this game is by having 4 topics and finding a partner.Once you have finished the two previous steps you and your partner have 15 Seconds to answer each question.The 4 questions we had were favorite Colour, favorite Food, What you do in the weekend and your Holiday destination.I thought that this energiser that we played was fun and cool because we got to learn about our partners from our class.Once we finished our rounds of the game we sat back in our lines and talked about what a disagreement was.I thought that a disagreement was similar to an argument because people have one idea but others want to do other things or have another idea that they think is better.After the talk we stood up in our lines and went to a seat for our activity.Our activity was called Code Breaker and the way you play this game was very simple.You draw 3 lines of 3 dots and you connect some of the dots together with lines to make a code.Then you get 3 rows of chairs with 3 chairs inside.Then you make the starting and finishing chairs a different colour.Then people start from the starting chair and you try and break the code.I thought this game was full of encouragement because everyone was trying to work together and solve the code.The team I was in won in the first round and then we had to verse the other winning team and we won again.Once we finished we went finished of with our goodbye chant and we lined up to go up to class.

Kiwi Can Reflection

Tuesday 28th February Room 9 walked down to the hall for our Kiwi Can lesson.When we reached the hall we were put into 4 groups and I was in group 3.First Mr M introduced us to the new Kiwi Can teacher which was Miss Lily.After she was introduced to us we did our energiser which was the compliment circle.The way the game worked was we stand in a circle and there is a hula hoop on the floor.We walk around in a circle to the music and if we are in the hula hoop when the music stops the boys give compliment to us and then we give a compliment.Once we finished playing the energiser we went to the music room and talked about how to ask questions.Then we played our activity which was a debate.Groups 1 and 2 had their debate on why we should and shouldn’t wear school uniform. Then my group and group 4 had our debate on why we should keep our lunch time and why we should make lunch time 2 hours.It thought it was cool because we got to say idea on top of other ideas.Once we finished the debate we said goodbye and then we walked back up to class.

Today in graphics class we drew our Concept Ideas for our design for our client.In this paper I drew a Nike Necklace, Youtube Earrings, Lizzza Earrings & Chocolate Earrings. I have finished my sheet of paper and all of the drawings were for my friend Aja. I have moved on to drawing new designs for the Nike Necklace to see if I could improve it.I have 6 new ideas for the Nike Necklace and I picked number 3 and 6.In conclusion I thought that today's lesson was very cool because we got to do lots of designing for our clients.Here is my paper.
