IALT:Write about what I did in the Book Club

Today at lunch time I went to Room 8 for the Book club.We are currently reading the book The giver and it's written by Lois Lowry. The book has a Newbery Medal and it was presented to it in 1994. I am enjoying my time reading the book because it's very exciting. The main character Jonas and he has a little cheeky sister called Lilly or Lily Billy. I am enjoying my time in Room 8 because we get to talk about the book and we're also hoping to watch the Movie in the end Week 9. One thing that I find pretty challenging is trying to write down my thoughts in my little folder that we got because sometimes I don't know what to write.

IALT: Identify the Hygiene and Safety Hazards of a Kitchen.

At technology Miss Tuipulotu was away and we had a reliever named Mr Das. Mr Das gave us a worksheet to work on and it the first one was about the Safety and Hygiene Hazards of a Kitchen. This picture is quite similar to the one we had.We had to find some of the Safety and Hygiene Hazards and one of them is the Unattended Boiling Pot because it could start a Fire. I enjoyed this because I got to learn about some Hazards in the kitchen that we don't know.

Cinquain

WALT: Write our own Cinquain

Today I have finished my Cinquain that I wrote about my Island which is Fiji.I enjoyed making this Google drawing because it was fun trying to make my little poem. For those of you that don't know what a Cinquain Poem is it's a Poem that Starts of with 2 Syllables, Then 4 Syllables, 6 Syllables, 8 Syllables and the back to 2 Syllables. One thing that I found quite challenging was trying to make sure I had the right Syllables.

Weaving Flax

Thank you for reading  my little reflection about weaving with Via for our Wahine Toa program. For those of you that don't know what Wahine toa is it's a Program for Girls to break the Glass Ceiling . In other words it a Group for girls to get out of their comfort zone and make strong connections with others. I enjoyed making this because I like sharing my work with others and One challenge that I faced making this was trying to think of the right Background and I chose Green because it's the colour of Flax.

IALT: Use my History to create a 24 hour island of where I have been

When we had our CyberSmart lesson with our Teacher with Miss Shearing.We were instructed to use our history on our Netbook and put it on a little island to show where we have been.We started this by starting on Monday at 10:15 to Tuesday at 10:15.I started on Google Slides, Then to Drive, Then to Drawing, Drive again, Google Search, Google Drawing again, My learning Site, Google slides again, On my Maths work, Back to Slides, To my Blog, On Slides, To my learning Site, Google Search and Finally my Learning Site again. I enjoyed this lesson because I had lots of fun putting the pictures on but my only challenge was trying to find the right Photo's.

On Tuesday we had our Cybersmart lesson with our Cybersmart Teacher Miss Shearing.We were learning about keeping our Digital Footprint positive and what to do online.Then Miss Shearings next instructions were to make a poster with our Advice to people to help them with making a positive Digital Footprint.I enjoyed this lesson with Miss Shearing because we learnt what to do when somethings happen online.

IALT: Make Chicken Curry

On Thursday the 27th of July I went to Tamaki College for my Technology Class.I was in the cooking Class with my Cooking teacher Miss Tuipulotu. I enjoyed my class because I love cooking and learning how to make different types of foods like Cookies, Cheese Cake and More food.One challenge that I faced making this dish was plating because I had no Idea where to put the food on our rice.
